Position: Web Systems Support / Maintenance
Location: Halifax
NOTE: this position requires shift coverage.
Our Halifax based client is looking for an experienced Web Systems Support / Maintenance to help us further develop their in-house developed applications.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for the support and maintenance of internal sites and systems globally
Work within support and maintenance group, with a focus on systems support and enhancement.
The role would include gaining an understanding of all in-house systems and the opportunity to maintain and improve these systems.
These include web-based applications, and server applications developed on the Microsoft platform.
• Techniques and tools include:
.NET/MS SQL Server/DTS/VB/ASP/J2EE.
He/she will work close together with business analysts and a team of web developers.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
• A university level education in Information Technology or related technical field and proven experience with the development of web applications.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, including database design.
• A flexible and dynamic personality with good communication skills.
• Experience with Business Objects, or other Enterprise Reporting system a plus
• Knowledge of the financial industry is a plus but not a requirement.
