Business Process Solutions Analyst - Engineering Systems
Location: Boston, MA
Term: Fulltime Permanent
Our client , seeks a highly motivated, experienced and organized Engineering Systems Business Process Solutions Analyst to join the IT Applications team in Boston, MA. The right candidate will be the users' primary contact person for Engineering applications enhancements, issues and questions and will also have the opportunity to lead projects.
Skills required are:
- At least 7 years’ information technology related experience and experience supporting product life cycle management applications. This includes hands on configuration experience and support of at least 2 implementations or upgrades.
- Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Strong understanding of Engineering Systems and Product Data Management Systems.
- Exposure to major CAD implementations and integration.
- Experience supporting integration between PDM/PLM and ERP systems a plus (SAP is used).
- Understanding of Engineering change control and configuration management in a manufacturing/high technology environment.
- Experience supporting a budget forecast/planning and tracking application desired
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting any PTC applications such as - Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, Pro/INTRALINK; Pro/ENGINEER is a definite plus.
- Strong project management skills and lead experience in an IT group, and ability to work effectively with business functional members is a plus.
- Experience supporting Agile e6 PDM a plus.
- Experience leading outsourced team a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Involvement in new implementations including analysis, design, configuration, documentation and training of Engineering systems.
- Perform problem determination and resolution efforts within area of responsibility, working with the appropriate developers.
- Add value to the decision making process by directing the key decision makers towards a reasonable, workable, sound solution that adds value not just to the short term but also to the long term use of the technology
- Provide production support.
- Lead projects.
- Create test scripts for assessing software changes then work with the users to test the solutions
- Adhere to the change control process for software changes.
- Prepare training materials as necessary. May be required to deliver training.
- In future, may lead small outsourced team.
- Travel requirement is less than 5%.
