On behalf of our client we are looking for a Business Systems Analyst for a 2 year contract assignment in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Business Systems Analyst will provide solutions to business needs that merge business process and software configuration or development. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the business to understand and negotiate business needs and then with internal and external team members and developers to design and implement a solution in an integrated systems environment. This position will compliment a team focused on a multi-year plan for developing online presence, both externally and internally. Please note that this role does not include web development activities. The role is focused on the ability to evaluate and apply a range of online technologies to create a relevant solution to business needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A relevant post-secondary education and a minimum of three to five years of experience working as a Business Systems Analyst in the field of online (web, mobile and social media) solution delivery Familiarity with standard and Agile SDLC concepts and practices Hands-on work in a complex, integrated and strategic online environment Professional background in requirements discovery Strong track record in testing strategies and procedures Hands-on experience in functional and technical specifications definition Background in data integration, data manipulation and analysis SUPPORTING SKILL SETS ARE PREFERRED IN: MS Sharepoint 2007 / 2010 MOSS features and functions Commerce Server or other eCommerce features and functions Sharepoint/SAP or other ERP integration
